Carpet Cleaning & Indoor Air Quality

Customer comfort = repeats and recommendations

If a trades person came to your house, did a good job but dominated your home by cluttering it with equipment, made so much noise that you couldn’t hear the television, radio or telephone whilst creating musty odours with high humidity and condensation – would you regard this as a pleasant experience and one  that you would wish to repeat regularly?... The answer is, that unless you were a masochist and liked discomfort, you would not repeat the experience until you were absolutely forced to.

In contrast, if the job was done quickly and quietly with little or no clutter, with dry fresh air conditions then you would probably regard it as a satisfying experience and one you wouldn’t mind repeating on a regular basis.

With this in mind it is still surprising when some carpet cleaners do not take their customers comfort into consideration – then wonder why there are long periods between repeat calls! Indoor air-quality and a low noise level is arguably just as important as the clean itself and forms a major part of your overall service.

A good cleaning machine should always be capable of operating long hose lengths so that where ever possible, the machine can be situated outside. If forced to work inside, the exhaust should be vented outside. This reduces noise, vents out odours, bacteria and humidity.

Simple consideration for your customer is all part of good customer service and will help create big improvements to your income.
