Introduction
This technical course covers the latest cleaning techniques, chemicals and equipment. It provides an uncomplicated way of fully understanding the materials, chemicals and cleaning methods available to the professional cleaner. This course is designed to enable a novice to start with the correct techniques and an experienced cleaner to incorporate new ideas into their own cleaning style.
Agenda
- Initial explanation of various technique options (bonnet buffing, dry granule and shampoo), with instruction on the correct technique for the Ashbys Fast Dry System.
- Understanding chemical strengths and properties, prevention of colour run and deodourising.
- Detailed spotting techniques – tea, coffee, wine, fats, oil, bitumen, chewing gum, paint, dyes, blood, urine and vomit – then lunch!
- Carpet fibre and upholstery fabric recognition – how to identify carpet & upholstery structure and type.
- Problem solving and how to minimise risk.
- Identification of other items suitable for cleaning – including headboards, mattresses, rugs, wall-hangings and many more.
- Spray applications and extra value services including stainprotection, flame retardants, anti-static, infestation control, allergy and dust mite treatments and acoustic tile cleaning.
- Hard floor cleaning and polishing techniques. Wood, vinyl, lino, terrazzo, marble and ceramic tiles.
